UPDATED: MAY 3, 2012 Bottle: Big frotty white head, that disappears slow, on top of a golden beer. Smell is a sweet and spicy mix of malts fruit and yeast. Taste is a soft and smooth mix of malts, caramel, hops, citrus, yeast, spices, herbs and a slight hint of alcohol. Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.

Bottle @ home. Hazy (dark) orange color, white head. Smell malts, fruits, slightly alcohol. Taste malts, caramel, some spicyness and light hints of bitter. Medium carbo, medium body.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty – lightly wheaty and sweetish aroma, fruitiness and some herbal spiciness. Body is medium, malty – lightly wheaty and sweetish flavor, some fruitiness and spiciness. Finish is average, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish, some spiciness and alcohol. Bit one-dimensional Belgian strong ale.

Le liquide a une couleur profondément dorée. La mousse s’affaisse rapidement. Au nez, les arômes de malts sucrés se choquent à un alcool parfumé, à des effluves de citron et à une bonne levure belge. Les saveurs vont dans le même sens avec des céréales douces et des élans épicés. Les fruits piquent les papilles. En bouche, le liquide a un corps moyen avec une bonne effervescence et une texture huileuse. La finale se fait sur des notes légèrement amères d’alcool et de houblons. En résumé, une quadrupel qui me fait penser à une tripel.

bottle@’t Waagstuk: pours golden with a fluffy white head, smell is dark malts & candy sugar plus bitter hops, taste has plenty of yeast, decent malt basis with sweet malts up front, minor fermenting dark fruits, bitter Belgian hops that get stronger in the aftertaste, citrus & floral, ok but not very impressive for the style

Bottle 33 cl, Schiphol Airport deli. Pours cloudy pale amber with a huge off white lasting head leaving lace. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, apricots, sweet and hoppy. Very peppery tart front, pungeant, bitter, malty and at the end sweet fruity. Finishes longlived peppery tart.

Dark golden coloured and unclear. Has a white head, medium duration. Aroma is yeasty, spicy and hoppy. Flavor starts moderate sweet, then moderate to heavy bitter. Sparkling carbonation, a bit astringent.
