Bottle. Hazy golden color with yeasties in suspension, held aloft by the carbonation present in the beer. Nice long-lived white head. Good lacing. Aroma is a bit citric, yeasty, some sweetness to the nose. Medium bodied. Alcohol is noticeable but not overbearing. Flavors of sugar and fruit. Nice Quad.

Poured a hazy gold color with a large white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of orange citrus, green raisins, spicy coriander, apples, and triplish yeast. Strong alcohol presense dominates the flavor, dry, citrus attempts to come through. A lighter colored, though strong tasting abt.

Bottled: Godlen coloured. Unclear. Beige medium sized head. Spice, yeast, malt and light fruit in the aroma. Coriander, yeast and alcohol in the flavour. Dry and fruity end. Alcohol is very present in the beer. Is a bit bland compared to others of the style.

Big nose of Apricots and curdled creme. some vanilla and fruit esters round out a nice warming nose with hints of alcohol. Good mouthfeel some bubblegum and dried fruit on the palate definite Turbinado quality.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2007 This is my first tasting of this line of beers. Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle the brew pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet, fruity and very yeasty. The flavor is sour, fruity and fairly complex with a bit of spice underlying. There is a light hop presence surrounding the overall taste. A decent brew but somehow it the sum is a bit less than it’s parts.

Slightly hazy gold with a large lasting white head. Big wheaty vanilla aroma with some spicy notes. Alcohol dominates flavour, with vanilla, grain and spice flavours there too. Medium bodied. Ok but very one dimentional, and alcohol is overpowering regardless of temperature.

Draft: at beer festival, quite nasty in my opinion, off flavors, cloying, sugar sweetness is unpleasant, bad batch perhaps?

Yes, disappointing. I’m drinking it on tap at a beer festival. Dominated by candy sugar - thin otherwise.

Sweet herbal-floral aroma with some candy sugar, honey, Belgian ale esters. Smells more like a tripel than other abts I’ve had. Fruity. Deep golden amber clear with thin creamy off-white lacing head. Medium-thin watery body with medium-high carbonation. Some carbonic burn and alcohol warming. Starts sweet with an alcoholic punch. Malt, candy sugar, fruity esters. Some extra complexity in the flavor like other abts, of which the aroma masked initially. Sweet alcoholic finish, with drying hops adding a bit of bitterness. Slight metallic type notes toward the end. After is mildly chalky, sweet, with esters and yeast hanging around. Buttery. A good beer, but not in the class of Westy 12 or Rochefort 10.

Dark yellow color, white head. Cloudy appearance. Spicy, fruity and hoppy aroma. Full bodied. Flavor starts with sweet tones and some spices, ends with dry and mildly alcoholic tones. Rich aroma and flavor.
