3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2012 Bottle: Big frotty white head, that disappears slow, on top of a golden beer. Smell is a sweet and spicy mix of malts fruit and yeast. Taste is a soft and smooth mix of malts, caramel, hops, citrus, yeast, spices, herbs and a slight hint of alcohol. Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.

Bottle 18months old from Belgium. Pours with a big head. Bits of sediment floating about. Cloudy orange brown. Aroma is yeasty and malty. Taste is very carbonated with a simple refreshing light maltiness and smooth after taste. Would never know it's 10%.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bière blonde dorée de fermentation haute, refermentée en bouteille, elle a une saveur corsée, une bonne rondeur en bouche avec une petite pointe d’amertume très agréable. Bref, une bière bien équilibrée.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Maybe not standard quad, but its still very enjoyable. Decent maltiness, interesting wheat presence, decent hop fruitiness, peach, orange, bit spices, yeast. Mostly sweet with quite dry bittersweet finish. Lovely

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear, yet somewhat flakey copperish golden with a resilient white head. Aroma is butter, vanilla, cake. Flavor is sweet, lemoney, mint and pepper. Finish is alcohol, lemon and mint. Medium to full body, weak to average carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The style is wrongly described as a Quadrupel, it is namely a Triple. And a very good one. Nice strong hoppy and fruity aroma.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours hazy (sediment) orange with a small lasting white head. Aroma is malty, yeasty, spicy, moderately alcoholic... Expected much better than this... It doesn’t smell bad, but it is quite off putting. Taste is pretty sweet, but not pleasantly sweet. Mainly because of the alcohol which is very omnipresent and crushes a lot of hard to find the flavors (sugar, bit of honey and nuts... Mainly sugar though). Pity... Finish is heavy as well. Bitter, warming, boozy and inbetween sweet and dry. Full bodied, oily/sticky texture... Sweet indeed, but closer to a roasty barley wine with some notes of whisky... Not a quad if you ask me. Lacks the softness and refinement and it misses a lot of taste. If I wanted just mere alcohol, I could have drunk a whole bottle of 80% Stroh instead... Disappointing.

Bottle. Hazy orange with big white head. Lots of spicy yeast, stone fruits (peach). Bit malty backbone with some cookies and fresh dough. Quite some alcohol presence. Full bodied with nice carbonation. Good stuff but really too much alcohol.
