Pours a very opaque amber/golden. Much lighter than some quads. Thin ring of white head. Slight amount of lacing. Nose is very fruity and slightly hoppy. A lot of dark fruits-plum, raisin, grape. Some toffee and honey. A slight earthy/grassy note. Mouth is rediculously sweet. A lot of honey, caramel, plum and raisin. There is a hoppy undertone but its minimal. This definitely tasted more like a tripel. A lot of carbonation and bitterness that lingers. A lot of sediment.

10cl sample at the Zythos Beer Festival (Leuven, April 25th 2015), as the as the 10.0% "Vintage Kapittel Tripel Abt (brouwerij het Sas-Van Eecke)". Beautiful amber with a fiding foam. A spiritful mouth full of malty notes. A nice vintage tripel.

Alcool ben nascosto visti i 10%. Buona.

3ccl @ tap. Colore ambrato, aroma debole.

Much better than their dubbel. Big alcohol warmth which is great, nice warming effect. Has all the expected flavours of caramel malts, yeast, bread, spices, herbs, etc. Nice!

Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a hazy dark golden/amber color with a medium sized fluffy beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, candi sugar, caramel, fruits, plums, peaches, yeast, some alcohol though not bad for 10%, decent enough.

Bottle says "tripel" but rate beer says quad though it seems much more like a triple. Pours a clear golden amber with a lot of suspended solids and a small spotty lasting white head. Aroma is perfumy, fruity, pears, and some Belgian yeasty notes. Flavour is a nice marriage of spicy Belgian yeast/perfumy alcohol, fruitiness mainly pears, and grapes. The alcohol is a bit strong but not too out of character.

Hazy amber/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, yeast, & hops; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, caramel, hops, citrus (notably orange), some fruit, & spice; The alcohol is fairly well hidden; Nicely balanced; A bit sweet - but pretty decent.
