Bottle - Dark amber pour with little head. Aroma of dark & sour fruits: figs, raisins, cherries. Taste is like aroma, slightly metallic. Good beer!

Bottle says "tripel" but rate beer says quad though it seems much more like a triple. Pours a clear golden amber with a lot of suspended solids and a small spotty lasting white head. Aroma is perfumy, fruity, pears, and some Belgian yeasty notes. Flavour is a nice marriage of spicy Belgian yeast/perfumy alcohol, fruitiness mainly pears, and grapes. The alcohol is a bit strong but not too out of character.

Hazy amber/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, yeast, & hops; Flavor of sweet malt, yeast, caramel, hops, citrus (notably orange), some fruit, & spice; The alcohol is fairly well hidden; Nicely balanced; A bit sweet - but pretty decent.

Appearance is pleasant and aroma above average. Not very complex taste and palate is only average. This is a decent tripel ale, definetly very drinkable and not too hoppy or bitter. But certainly nothing that special that id go out of my way for

The style is wrongly described as a Quadrupel, it is namely a Triple. And a very good one. Nice strong hoppy and fruity aroma.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear, yet somewhat flakey copperish golden with a resilient white head. Aroma is butter, vanilla, cake. Flavor is sweet, lemoney, mint and pepper. Finish is alcohol, lemon and mint. Medium to full body, weak to average carbonation.

33cl bottle at home. Pale orange with a full white head. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Nice sweetness with bitter tones. Spices, yeast, peach, orange, malts and herbs. A decent Belgian brew.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2015 Pours hazy (sediment) orange with a small lasting white head. Aroma is malty, yeasty, spicy, moderately alcoholic... Expected much better than this... It doesn’t smell bad, but it is quite off putting. Taste is pretty sweet, but not pleasantly sweet. Mainly because of the alcohol which is very omnipresent and crushes a lot of hard to find the flavors (sugar, bit of honey and nuts... Mainly sugar though). Pity... Finish is heavy as well. Bitter, warming, boozy and inbetween sweet and dry. Full bodied, oily/sticky texture... Sweet indeed, but closer to a roasty barley wine with some notes of whisky... Not a quad if you ask me. Lacks the softness and refinement and it misses a lot of taste. If I wanted just mere alcohol, I could have drunk a whole bottle of 80% Stroh instead... Disappointing.
