Brown color with a very nice beige head. The taste is fruits and yeast. Has some spice notes but it finishes slightly metallic.

Copper gold . Decent size head . At 7.5 % you are getting fair amount of alcohol , some bitterness and malt .

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2003 What a beautiful beer! My first thought when I put my mouth to the glass is that this beer is very similar to Rochefort 6. It has the most beautiful beige creamy head and a nice hazy amber body. The aroma is malt and fruit and the flavor is malt, fruit and spices!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Raisin aroma. Slight toasty bitter flavor, but the raisinny sweetness rules. Hint of cherry and metal. Maybe a bit thin for the fairly high ABV. Nice beer that lacks depth.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Small light brown head. Clear red-brown body. Aroma; sweet, a little sourish, spicy, rum, raisins. Taste; malty, spicy and unfortunately a little medicinal. Ends bitter with a little bit of sour milk. No great pleasure.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A bit fizzy flowery and fruity (lemons) aroma.
Looks mostly ok, amber brown, thick creamy head, a bit more carbonation than expected.
Malty, fruity (a lot of lemons again) some dusty yeast notes.
Too much golden ale, too little trapiste - not really true to style.
Fizzy thin and sodalike mouthfeel, unexpectedly fresh.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2003 Bottled: Clear amber coloured. Brownish head. Malty, sweet and fruity in the nose. Flavour is a bit too much. Sweet, malts and lots of alcahol (Too much for my taste) and some spices. Finishes dry and slightly bitter.
