Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, alcoholic, roasty dark. Not nearly as good as some of the other Abbey Dubbels I’ve had recently.

33cl bottle. Pours dark brown to ruby with a dense and very creamy, medium sized head. Dark, dryish fruitness on the nose. Also a hint of sweeter wine gum. Dark candi sugar comes along in the aroma with herbal and slightly grassy hops. Cookie-like, sweetish maltiness. The flavor is sweetish, sugary and almost nectary, though it dries up a bit towards the finish. The palate is medium bodied, smooth, creamy and mellow. Dangerously easy to drink. A bit sweet for a dubbel.

Drank it at the brewery itself. Dark brown beer with a lot of roasted malt. A hint of sugar and fruit can be smelled. The finish is quite good.

Bottle. Deep brown, red with a small beige head. Aromas are fruity and yeasty with mellow berries. Some syrupy malts with brown sugar. Flavours are bready yeast and ripe pear with crystallised sugar. Soft spices and berries. OK.
