dark-red brown colour, nice creamy head, nice lace, malty and fruity with coffeish notes, sweet and bitter with a long dry fruity (plum) finish - fresher than most of the dubbels - yes, the Aussies definitely got a bad shipment ...

Sep 24, 2008 [EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average fin foamed beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of caramel, nutty, toasted malt, grain, candy sugar, mild fruit/raisins/prunes, yeast and sweet chocolate. Quite full bodied with an average carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor. Sweet malty lingering finish. Very nice.

Sep 5, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Vintage 2005 I guess. Average size creamy off-white diminishing head. Hazy dark brown body lightly cloudy. Heavy malt aroma of caramel and coffee. Light/none hop aroma. Nice aroma of raisin, plum and lot of prune!!! Medium body creamy texture and average carbonation. The flavor is moderate sweet, lkight acidic and light bitter.
