Pours slightly hazy russet to coppery brown with a full creamy coloured head that sank slowly into the glass. I love a dubbel and hope this lives up to my expectations of full cocoa, malt and butter aroams. It is alittle lighter than expected, but no less satisfying. It also carries a touch of licorice, molasses and pumpernickel. The mouthfeel is of full carbonation and then it gives way to flavours of chocolate biscuits, cola and dusty Dutch biscuits. It is dry to the finish but leaves with a gorgeous reminiscence. It also leaves me a happy man.

The dubbel in this series, light beige head and dark burgundy colour. Malty with some candi sugar, candied fruits, dryish with a lightly bitter, hoppy finish. Stereotypical dubbel, lacking a bit in character compared to its lighter coloured namesakes.

Aroma is dark fruits, belgian sugar candy and begian yeast. Taste is like aroma with the sweet dark fruits like plum, raisin and apple. Appearance is a hazy brown with thi n sediment settling on bottem. The beige head is thin and retains poorly.

De minste van de kapittel watou-bieren. Het bier met de minste smaak in deze reeks

Bottle, 33cL. @Bressuire, France. With dad and mom. A clear brown beer with a medium white head. Medium persistence. Spicy aroma, herbs, roasty, light caramel. Medium bitter and sugary sweet. A bit warming. Medium body and oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish with a warming note. Overall, a good spicy herbal dubbel. Pleasant.

C’est une bonne bière, une de mes préférées de Kapittel. Il y a beaucoup de bulles qui montent mais la bière n’est pas petillante.

Pours deep red brown, thin head. Mild aroma. Strong flavour, very sweet and fruity with some malts. Light on the carbonation which is a good thing. Very palatable and tasty.

Bottle at home. Pours a reddish brown with a off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma, dark fruits, raisins. Caramel malty flavored, dark fruits, yeast, prunes, roasted malts, bit of a bitter aftertaste. Nice.

Pours a brow-amber with a medium tan head. Aromas are roasted malts, caramel, brown sugar and spices. Bitter-sweet finish, with a metallic aftertaste. Rather good dubbel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A nice dubbel. This is my type of brew. The aroma is bright and fruity but not too sweet. Pours a dark amber with a beige head that fills the glass. The nose has big prune, raisins and plum notes, mild toffee and caramel malts and a hint of banana. Nice sweet middle with mild roasted malts, toffee, brown sugar, nuts and a bit of sweet fruit. The finish has a plum flavour with a tad of alcohol Overall a nice brew.
