COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Bottle to glass. Dried fruit nose, lots of plum and raisin. Murky reddish brown pour with small white head. Taste follows with a creamy mouthfeel yet a dry finish. Decent.

Het Kapittel Pater er en Abbey Ale, der som de andre ale i denne serie kan spore deres historie tilbage til klosteret i Watou i 1629. Øllet har en lidt sødlig smag, som bl.a. skyldes malten og de 2 varianter af humle. Øllet er mørkt, fyldigt og har en lang og lidt bitter eftersmag, som dog er behagelig.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, dark brown with a one inch tan head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, banana, sugar, caramel and some hops. Similar taste. Has a creamy body with a slight bitter finish. Easy tp drink a rather enjoyable.

Flaska från Beergium. Bärnstensfärgad med en del jästsediment, högt krämigt skum. En lätt dubbel eller kanske mer åt en belgisk amber. Relativt lätt med balanserad sötma. Lätt kryddig, lite jäst, pomerans, blommig och lite söt torkad frukt, lätt höig beska. Drickvänlig och riktigt trevlig

Clear deep chestnut brown, small but steady frothy beige head, good lacing; aroma of roasted malts, caramel, dried dark fruit, light chocolate; taste is light heavy sweet and light bitter, roasted malts, chocolate; medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is dry sweetbitter, chocolate, spicy notes; overall a well-balanced and pleasant Dubbel.

11/30/2007 1:30:49 PM Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Dark brown colour. Sweet nose. Sugary and fruity taste. Some caramel, plums, raisins and grapes. malt. A bit watery. Nice finish.
