Bottle. Light amber, cloudy, small and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish, some caramel and spiciness, faint alcohol. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, spiciness, some caramel and alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, spiciness and alcohol, some caramel. Sharply spiced strong ale – quite a lot of alcohol in the finish.

Bottle:
Medium pretty vast light brown to tan head on top of a darker brown colored beer.
Smell is a sweet mix of brown sugars, sweet malts, caramel, spices and some darker fruits.
Taste roasted malts, herbs, spices, darker fruits, a hint of something like brown sugary sweets.
Nice bitter light sweet aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture.
Nicely balanced brew.

Nothing really special about this beer, but it’s a good beer, better than average anyway. Dark brown color, average smell, nice taste and a good well balanced carbo and body.

Bottle (33 cl) from the Cracked Kettle. Shady copper, medium off-white head. Nutty and slightly caramelly with bitter almond and alcohol. Meidum bodied and smooth. Fairly dry with a bit alcoholic bitterness.

Very sweet smelling like raisins or prunes. Super thick in mouthfeel with light carbonation. I’ve had better in this style.

Bottle at De Paas. Very distinctive aroma with chocolate and cherry. Same components in the flavor with more dark fruit, malt, and a hint of alcohol. A slightly confused beer.

Ho bevuto volentieri questa BSA, tra l’altro ero anche a fine pasto con accompagnamento di ottimi biscotti fatti in casa. Colore e aroma tutto nella norma, mentre in bocca nonostante la gradazione alta, scivola via bene. Non male.
