This dark beer has been brewed with careful attention in accordance with our age old brewing tradition. It is a flavourful beer, tasting slightly bitter-sweet.

Bottle, 330 ml, at De Bierprofessor, Eindhoven. Poured into a chalice. ABV 9% deep caramel amber colour, with a thin off white head on top. Good retention, light lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, ripe and sweet. Hints of sugar and of the high ABV too. Taste is also full of dark, ripe fruits. Caramel too, the alcohol notable. Sweet taste overall, but not sickenly sweet, it drinks pleasantly. Medium thick body, soft airy carbonation. Overall great beer but a bit silly of me to order this one on such a hot day and when i didn’t have enough time, this one asks for lower temperatures.

From the 11.23 oz. bottle best before June 2013. An attractive looking reddish-brown pour with a substantial foamy beige head and agitated carbonation. The aroma is of Belgian yeast, roasted malts, and berry-like fruit but all very subtle. The body is ab out medium and seems on the astringent side. The taste is much more flavorful that the nose suggests with bountiful malty sweetness and a bitter pungency coming up on the back and lingering long.

Red-brown colour with a decent head. Smell is metallic and yeast. Taste of bread, yeast and sweet fruit. Aftertaste is not so pleasant.

Rich dark fruits and spice aroma with a malty and spicy palate. Has some alcoholic heat there too with a fruity yeast flavour. A nice winter beer.

Troebel, bruinrode kleur. Weinig aroma.
