Bottle. Sweet smell of malt and light alcohol, bread, light caramel. A very large light brown creamy head with a long duration. The body is clear and red-brown. The taste is malty and of chocolate. The beer is creamy with normal carbonation and a medium strong body.

Rich dark fruits and spice aroma with a malty and spicy palate. Has some alcoholic heat there too with a fruity yeast flavour. A nice winter beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks kerenmk. Hazy amber. Aroma of yeast, bubblegum, some fruity esters, spiciness and a bit of malt. Sweetish flavor with yeast, fruits, some malt, and a spicy and slightly alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied.

Troebel, bruinrode kleur. Weinig aroma. Smaakt vlak en behoorlijk zoet met een vleug zure azijn en wat zoet fruitigs. Niet zo mijn ding.

33 cL bottle from Beers of Europe into an Achel glass. Dark red brown, with a bit of head that then disappears rapidly. Sweet-buttery aroma. Bitter-sweet, smooth, tasty. A touch tangy, and moreish. Tastes somewhat spiced.

Pours a beautiful orange red beer with a good white head. Smells a bit cheesy and sweet. Taste is medium sweet. To sweet and a bit bitter on the finish. Dont like the bitter finish on this one but the redt off the palate is nice.

Sample of an 11 years old (2002) one @ZBF ’13. Aromas of coffee, caramel, overripe prunes, sour. Pours brown, cloudy, tan normal head quickly fading. Some sediments. Coffee, caramels, toast with marmelade. No carbo, light alcohol warmth, full taste. Refreshing for a dark beer, yet a bit of the vinous warmth. Aftertaste is short.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful clear amber/reddish colour with a quickly disappearing off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and spices. Taste is quite sweet - and like the aroma with fruits. Mouthfeel is full and it has a short bitter aftertaste with lots of alcohol in it. Not bad.
