Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A gusher producing an unclear, amber body with lots of small floaties. Topped by a dense, off-white to light beige head. Fruity, slightly milky aroma with a touch of dried fruits as well. Prunes, apricots and figs. It’s very effervescent, medium bodied and tastes mostly fruity, both of fresh and dried fruits. Slightly alcoholic too. Not a very good one, but sure drinkable. 110128

Papsoe (22983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2011
Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Cloudy amber with an off-white head. Very lively aroma - a slow gusher. Sweet, fruity nose. Burned caramel in the nose. Solid body, lots of caramel and a little roast. Dryish finish, no real hops though. More like a Dutch style Bock really. 280111

Bottle. Brown color. Yeasty aroma and flavor with a hint of tangerine. Some vinous notes. Hint of mint. Too yeasty to make a real impression.

A clear amber/copper colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of caramel sweet with some malts. The taste of sweet caramel with bitter. The is some coffee candy. Notes of roasted malts. There is a little sourness in the back. The aftertaste is bittersweet and a little sticky.

tap at Arendsnest in Amsterdam - Pours light amber with a lingering head. Aroma is sweet malt and yeast with a hint of spice. It tastes of sweet malt and yeast up front with some mild hops bitterness in the somewhat dry finish. It’s a decent brew, but a little watery and there isn’t much to it.

On tap at Arendsnest. Murky amber colour, thin off white head. Sweet and spicy aroma, mainly coriander, cumin, yeast. Flavour is very spicy, peppery, sweet, fruity, with a light alcohol bitter finish. A bit less than medium bodied. Nice spicy ale.
