Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is dry roasted malt, earthy, mineral. 33cl bottle @ home from Melger’s, Haarlem. Dark brown color, massive rocky brownish head, excellent lacing. Aroma very fruity and citric, slightly roasted in the nose, flavor is roasted malt, moderated fruity, floral, licorice, later coffee, more roastyness, and hoppyness. Smell and flavor differs quite much. Taste light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Medium to full body, thin texture, soft carbonation, quite long lasting roasted bitter later also hoppy bitter finish. Quite easy to drink, still kind of dessert style. Great one.

Bottled, thanks Benzai! Dark brown, rich beige head. Chocolaty nose with minty black currant. Mid sweet with near full body and rounded mouthfeel. Fudge, milk chocolate, black currant, citrus and pine. Long bitter finish. Unusually chocolaty and harmonious Black IPA.

33cl bottle from MrHangover, Euro Swap 5, thanks! Near black, thick brown head. Roasted malt, citrusy hops in aroma, some grapefruit as well. Flavor has cocoa, lovely coffee notes, chocolate. Really dry, bitter biting finish, coffee lingers. Fresh, lovely black IPA. Good body.

Tap tasted at Nederlands Bierproeffestival on 17/05/2014. The colour is almost black with a nice carbonation white head. Malty roasted, chocolate and coffee in the aroma and also in the taste. The aftertaste is a little dry. Medium body and well balanced carbonation. Next one please!

33cl bottle shared. Appearance: Dark brown to allmost black with a creamy light brownish head ok, retention and light lacing. Aroma: tropical fruits, roasted malts. Taste: Starts with a sweet fruityness then nicely balances out with a bitternessss of chocolate, Roasted malts, piney hops. Some fruity and poney hops and some salty licorice notes in the aftertaste. Overall quite bittersweet but the slight salty tone is a nice twist. medium body, slightly below average carbonation.
