CONCLUSION : très grande black ipa …

DAA; Bottle 33 cl., from Vinmonopolet. Pours moderate, full of sediments, black with a frothy, lacing and lasting, light tan head. Nose is moderate to heavy, toasted malt, grapefruit, moderate dried dark fruit, coffe, chocolate and light citric, tropic. Taste is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter, balancing with a somewhat lasting dark fruit, grapefruit, light chocolate finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation soft.

Bottle. Dark brown, average to large and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light - some caramel and some roasted - faint burnt malt, faint fruitiness with some piney hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some roasted malt and some piney hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish, light caramel and some roasted malt - faint burnt malt, some piney hoppyness. Bit thin BIPA, also too much caramel for me. Nice head though.

Pours into a very dark black with a lasting head. Very nice small like very sweet liqourice. Tate brings the IPA heritage but with a bittersweet twist with aroma’s of roasted malts, hops and liqourice. Nice mix of carbon and oiliness. Very nice beer!
