PotjeBier (1603) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 25, 2014
33 cl bottle @ home, last of the series. Black color. Light brown head, quickly disappearing. Aroma’s: bit whisky, bit wood, bit roasted malts, bit umimai, light red fruits, all not very strong (from the glass). Retronasal there’s sweet malts, bit sticky toffee, a bit booze/whisky/alcohol, roast. Flavor is light to moderate sweet, roasted malts, whisky. Alcohol feels quite strong, warming & prickly. Finish is not too long, woody, light bitter and ashy. Still OK, but not the best of the 4.

Flaske, 33 cl. Tak Papsøe. Sortbrun med et lysebrubnt skum. Whiskey og vådt træ. Lette røg-noter. Den risteede malt dukker op i munden. Klistret, sødlig, ret tør bitter finish med noter af læder og træ.

caesar (4957) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 7, 2014
Bottled from Burg Bieren, dated Dec 2013, large sample, served in a snifter. Dark color, short head, mostly some brownish frothy lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, some vanilla, oak wood, bit whisky, some roast, hint of smoke, even a hint of juniper. Truly wonderful aroma. Some sweetness in taste, bit bitter. Slight alcohol burn, but in a nice way. Medium bodied, could be a bit thicker if I had to name a downside. Whisky blends really nice with the RIS. Especially the aroma is absolutely fantastic.
