33cl bottle at home. Appearance: dark with medium khaki head. Aroma: oak, vanilla, bourbon, roasted malts, red fruits, some brown sugar, coffee. Taste farily high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of roasted malts, peated malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, red fruits, little bit smoke, somewhat plasticy but not in a bad way. Finish is a little dry-bitter. Palate: heavy bodied, creamy texture and medium carbonation.

Blijft goed hangen. Topstuff !!!

Sampled @ omhper, thanks. Small lingering brown head. Black color. Big chocolate and caramel aroma. Sweet taste and nice roasted maltiness. Some bitterness that don’t stand up to the big malty body.

Head nearly gone, black beer. Lactic, but also stoutacidity, whisky, smoked, nearly Islay-like. Sweet-ish, coffee cream, Irish coffee or Bailey’s (with a dash of coffee). Very thick, rich bodied, velvety texture. Nice - and strangely enough, it gives the impression of being stronger than the 16:9!

Bottle from Maakun, many thanks! Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, some booze, leather and dark fruits. Taste is dark chocolate, roasted malt, very light coffee, liqourice and leather. Short, slightly bitter finish.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Dark brown color. Aroma of dark caramel, a hint of chocolate, light vanilla. Smooth, lean, with mild residual sweetness; the flavor is based on dark caramel, no roasted malt, no chocolate flavor, with some vanilla and macadamia nuts, a bit boozy in the final.
Nice, simple among Imperial Stouts.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of cocoa and a bit of anise. Tastes very full and fudge-y, with a short off-dry finish.

330mL bottle, pours a reddish dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of sherry oxidation and dark fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of dark fruits, a little caramel and sherry oxidation. A touch old, but it’s still very pleasant. Super fruity. Very nice.
