COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zomer in je bol! In ieder geval wel bij het Uiltje! Een kneiter hard gehopte New Zealand session IPA! Deze ‘’low alcohol’’ IPA zit vol met de Nieuw Zeelandse hop Nelson Sauvin. Fris, bitter, makkelijk drinkbaar maar wel voor de liefhebber want deze hop heeft een aardig apart karakter. We love it! Dit is geen ‘’lentebier’’ en wordt dan ook niet ergens ingestuurd als zodanig! Wij houden van hop en van vers bier. Laat de rest maar vechten om de titel van beste lentebier. Ha!!! Uilskuikens!

Clear amber colour, white head. Fruity aroma, tropical fruits, quite floral, soapy coriander. Bitter flavour, floral hops, pine, light soap. Bitter finish, hops. Nice and refreshing!

My second ’session IPA’ and effectively labelled as such. Off-white, initially thick but slowly receding, yet stable, sticky head over a deep orange blonde beer, cloudy with pale, tiny yeast particles floating around here and there, milky and completely shrouded with deposit. Aroma of citrussy ’green’ hops, impressions of grapefruit peel, orange, white bread, coriander, tonic water, hemp, dry white wine, leather, peaches, gooseberries, starfruit, minerals, white pepper, tobacco. Taste reveals a vivid, tingling fruitiness and ’citrusness’, utterly refreshing, with a sharpish, minerally carbonation adding to the refreshment; then a light, elegant caramelly maltiness kicks in along with peppery yeasty spiciness and drying coriander, leading to a long, complex, dry, thirst-quenching hop bitter finish, citrussy, grassy and spicy and even a bit ’biting’; mouthfeel surprisingly full for a beer of only 3,4% ABV. A totally satisfying, light and thirst-quenching summer session beer for hopheads. Love it, even a bit more than the Berghoeve Khoppig I tasted right before this. I’m beginning to love this particular style in much the same way I love ’ordinary’ and double IPAs.

Misty golden body and Instable frothy head. Delicious sweet fresh floral hops, flower garden and peachy compote. Amazing full aroma and lovely hops! Coriander is supposedly in here, but it smells more like cilantro than seeds! Great body, despite the low abv, with a more than decent mouth feel. Well developed but not too dry. Amazingly well crafted, an expect job done here on both recipe and brewing! (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

Aroma of fruits, citrus, floral, soap, grass, hops. Flavour is fruity and grassy with a potent bitter finish. A bit light body, but not distractingly so. Tasty, refreshing Session IPA.

Bottle at home in London - bought at Kris Wines. Pours lightly hazy, deep gold with a large, lasting frothy white head. Nice citrusy hops in the nose, some pine needles, orange rind, wood, toasted grass. The flavor is lightly with toasty pale malts, slight crackery grains, more pine needles, dry and pithy orange rind, hints of hop resin. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with further piney and toasted grassy hops, restrained bitterness, more toasted pale malt, hints of grapefruit, more orange rind. Pretty clean and direct. Certainly a bit over-carbonated, but as it calms down the beer comes out of its shell a bit.

Bottle. Body pours in hazy cloudy orange color with high creamy white head. Aroma has tropical fruit character with massive earthy hoppines on the nose as well. I’d say it is little bit spicy too. The taste follows the aroma pretty well, at first you get high earthy bitterness with light to medium fruity sweet support, peaches, pineapple, light vanilla with earthy bitterness in the after taste. Little bit too bitter for my taste. Body is full, high carbonation.

Honing troebel bier vol gist. Schuim trekt snel weg. Aroma is fruitig, hop, mango, zoet. Smaak is fris, licht bitter. Body is wat waterig evengoed erg mooi bier met slechts 3,4%

Bottle thanks to Deanso. Pours hazy dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, peach, soap and grassy hops. Flavor is light heavy bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A decent low ABV hop fest.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark golden amber colour with a large foamy. Aroma is very strong with floral hops, rich herbal notes, mild graininess and some sweet fruitiness. Very intriguing. Flavour of rich floral bitterness, weed, orange, some biscuit and herbs. Light bodied and a bit foamy mouthfeel. Surprisingly rich, bitter and juicy finish. Very enjoyable. Hard to believe this is only 3,4% ABV. Well done.

7/VI/14 - 33cl bottle from Biernavigatie (webshop, NL) @ home - BB: IV/2015 (2014-595)

Pretty cloudy orange to beige beer, aery yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, citrus, bit floral, soapy touch, quite some banana. MF: lots of carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sourish start, citrus, lots of grapefruit, pretty bitter, lemon rind, bit grassy. Aftertaste: lots of grapefruit, piny bitterness, citrus, fruity touch, very nice beer. Well done!
