On tap at Bierfestival Groningen. Dark brown, dense off white head, creamy. Smooth taste, I combined it with a spare rib from the bier-spijs contest from ’t gerecht groningen. Nice combination. Smoth and sweet beer.

Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier festival. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma of wort, roast, wheat, grain and strangely so major sweetcorn! Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

At Pint Winterfest 2012. Poured a very dark ruby red / brown. with a moderate tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt and coffee over roast malt. Medium body, flavour of roast caramel malt and chocolate.. Moderate dry finish.

bottle from Bierkoning - thanks! Cloudy brown colour, beige head. Aroma of cocoa. Very chocolatey, the shy sourness in the far background making the lingual image of cocoa beans even livelier. Quite low carbonation, unfortunately, but impressive chocolate flavours.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2012. Opaque brown color, small off-white to beige head. Smell burned and roasted malts, alcohol, sweetness and lightly herbs. Taste malts, chocolate, roastyness and bitter. A bit thin, but not too bad for 6,8% ABV. Pretty nice.
