Maria (10129) - Thisted, - MAY 13, 2010
It’s medium golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, clover-flower and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, spicy hops, bread, flower, caramel and the finish is dry with notes of straw.

Ernest (6157) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 22, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted bread, caramel, husks), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Clunky, mediocre.

TAR (2444) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Bottle purchased at the brewery, consumed in Nov, 2013: Amber gold. Thin, but tight, broken white head. Decent nose of almond nuttiness and spent tea-leaf maltiness. Hint of minerals, mold, DMS and cotton. Foamy, fuzzy carbonation. Nutty pecan skin flavors yield to a metallic tingle. Not much malt richness or complexity. Spruce tip whispers of hops unite with a splash of ripe fruity esters and sharp malty dryness. Canydish yeast presence and peppery hops in there, as well. Finishes earthily malty but drab and plain, with a stiff kiss of fennel seed hops and pecan skin leatheriness adorned with a delicate toffeelike sweetness. A humdrum example that fails to do anything out of the ordinary. Plays it pretty safe, and overall it’s a bit unclean, doughy and straightforward. I want character when I drink in Franconia!

Erzengel (2396) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 2, 2013
Rating from 21.1.2008: Im Geruch frisch-malzig, hopfenaromatisch.

3fourths (7884) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Bottle. Moldy dish water and detergent, seed cracker and toasted malt. Medium body, sweet, worty and raw, plenty of sugar. Low bitterness, high sweetness, very simple Munich and Pilsner malt profile. Brash and coarse malt. Mineral content becomes more expressive when it opens. Thin body. Dull and uninteresting.

EithCubes (4743) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 18, 2012
Bottle by 23.08.12. Nose of nicely cellared malt with dark grainy and caramel notes. Deep transparent orange body with a noisy beige head. Watery light body is sweet with spikes of fruit and citrus, lightly grainy malt leading to a huge bready finish. Very nice noble hops, thought they were a bit green at first but they’ve grown on me. Like the rustic edges, like the authenticity.

Koelschtrinker (9998) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 21, 2011
