(bottle - 500 ml) Clear gold with a lasting white head. Rather sweet aroma and very malty. Some caramel notes underneath. Very sweet at the start of the flavor with some light corn and grass notes. Sweet and malty with a very distinct alcohol warmth coming up at the end. Dry and lightly bitter.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 ectuohy27 (258) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 26, 2010
Impressive beer--aroma is a bit off but thetaste is much more balanced--less hoppy and with light caramel malt, a bit of witbier-type spices, little head, and a pleasant carbonation all serve to hide the 8.7%abv much more than Baltika 9 does its 7.8%. Possibly the best EE beer outside CZ ($1.89/500ml)
