3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Large shared bottle.
Looks and smells great but the flavor is a bit of a mess. In fact, the flavor is more disappointing given the aroma than any beer Iíve had lately.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 mL bottle from Ale Alpharetta. Pours a slightly hazy, reddish-orange, with a small beige head. The aroma is candy orange slices, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, and some light earthiness and some resin. Very sweet and malty, with a fairly significant savory spiciness. Heavy body, sticky, and syrupy. Overall, this is a big, boozy, malty beer. Not very subtle, but delicious, spicy, and thick.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours an appetizing clear mahogany with a thick, frothy, pale buff head. Strong, fruity aroma has a decided whisky overtone plus malty and woody notes. Lip-smacking flavor starts with fruity and whisky notes, then adds oak and subtle malty tones to the mix, finally tossing in a dash of hops. Texture is firm, smooth, and rather fizzy, leaving a finish that is fruity sweet but not cloying, and has a little kick of whisky at the very end. Breathe a little fire.

750ml bottle from Peabodyís in Boone, NC. Belgian scent with raisins, caramel, malt, toffee. No foam but leaves a film indicating the abv level. Ruby red in appearance and occasional look of brandy. Almost chewy feel with raisins, currants, malt, toffee, Belgian sugars and a good alcohol burn middle to end. Clean palate. Overall a solid beer.
