Draft to taster at Hi-Wire. Looks solid; a transparent lighter copper with thin eggshell lacing. Smells of pale malt and hops (in that order). Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Decent, but forgettable, and definitely on the maltier side.

@ Whole Foods Market / Asheville NC --- Hazy dark amber with ac 1/2 " white head, streaks of lace. Taste is robust caramel malt that is joined in the palate by citrus hops. Both sides mesh nicely, and move to a satisfying finish. Very drinkable, and strong enough to satisfy. Recommended.

Great IPA very hoppy finish light malt taste at the front. One of the better NC IPAs I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear golden brown on tap with minimal off-white head and lace. Aroma is mild piney hops with a nice bready pale malt back end. Taste follows, nice balance but a little weak. Light carbonation, easy to drink.

Draft at taproom. Pours dark orange with a thin white head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Decent floral note on the nose. Somewhat bitter on the tongue without a lot Id call flavor. Eh!

Pours amber with a small light brown head. Nose is medium grapefruit and orange citrus nose with some fruits that are augmented by the stick caramel malt aromas that are mixed in. Also some toasty and just a touch of light biscuit malt aroma. dark fruity aromas as well. Flavor is toasty caramels, toffee, sharp citrus spikes, and some fruity hops. Medium light bitterness and medium sweet finish. This is a decent and drinkable beer-nothing offensive here but really not what I would want out of an IPA. Caramelly and lacking in hop complexity and intensity.

11/27/13. On tap at the brewery. Amber orange pour with a small khaki head. Okay hop aroma, but too mild. Some citrus, more pine and dank/resin type aspects, crackery pale malts and caramel. Mildly hoppy flavor and bitterness, more dank and pine, touches of citrus, biscuits and caramel. Not bad.

Bottle. Caramel color and taste from the malt. Pretty strong base for 6.7%. Upon opening the bottle I got a whiff of the hop aromas I've come to love bit dissipates quickly. Reminds me of red rocket. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Hi-Wire. Cooper color. Aroma of cotton candy, caramel malts, sweet malts & citrus hops. Tastes sharply bitter, sweet toasted malts. Sugary & hoppy. Loads of pine & citrus. (3897)
