COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Western North Carolina take on the West Coast style IPA. Huge citrus hop aromas make this a Hop Headís dream. Its full body balances well with the bitterness and allows the drinker to enjoy its depth of hop flavors and aromas.

Tasted on 1/29/16 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal. Pours hazy bright orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is quite a bit of citrus and sap with just a bit of grass, and a pronounced caramel and bread malt. The flavor is, once again, pretty malty with a lot of caramel and bread, with the grapefruit and resin hops taking a back seat to all of the malt. The body is medium and somewhat sticky with average carbonation, and a long malty citrus finish.

Copper/gold pour with white head. Aroma is resiny hops and bready malt. Flavor is sweet bready malt and resiny hops. A slight spiciness as well. Nice resiny bitter finish. Medium body with good carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink @ 6.7

Single from app vintner. Iím a sucker for an iPa tick. Nice juicy citrus fruit. Smooth caramel malt flavor. Dark orange almost caramel color. Tropical orange aroma. Solid from start to finish.

12 oz bottle into a lager glass. Apparent BB date on the bottom of May 2016. Pours with a deep amber body that appears to have ample carbonation. The small but durable bone-colored head leaves plenty of sticky lacing on the glass. Citrus and herbal hop aromas precede the very fruity (citrus) flavor. Moderate bitterness is below average for American IPAs. O: an excellent IPA, at least for those who like the fruity hop varieties and limited bitterness.

Picked up a bottle of this at Chipís in Kill Devil Kills while on vacation. Pours a orange/copper with little head and a cloudy appearance due to lots of floaties as the result of being unfiltered. Aroma is citrus with hints of caramel malt. Taste is rather bland with a slightly bitter finish that does not linger. This beer is tame compared to many other IPAs but very drinkable. It seems more like a pale ale than IPA and someone expecting a strong hop presence typical of the style may be disappointed.

Bottle from trio. Pours clear Amber with a medium sized white head. The aroma has plenty of grapefruit, some spicy, earthy hop presence, a bit of caramel. The taste has a good bit of grapefruit citrus, medium bitterness, but a touch of short duration of flavor.

12 oz. looks to be bottled May 19, 2015. Pours mostly clear orange-copper with a lasting disc of foam. Nose is peppery grapefruit zest, resin, soap, mineral and a touch of caramel. Flavors of toast, mineral water, green herb, resin, grapefruit, ash, metal and toffee. Big muddle, but not awful. Light-medium body borders on too much fizz.

Alisa brougt this one back for me from a trip to North Carolina. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-toffee color with a large creamy orange-tan head hta tlingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sour caramel, mlaty, citrus, pine and earthy. The flavor was bitter, sour caramel, pine, citrus, earthy and tobacco. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.
