This true American Lager is made with 100% Pilsen malt with a delicate body and light hop profile. Lagered in the tradition of the style to full maturity. It’s a break from the typical craft American beer scene.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Bruisin’ Ales, 1/2/15

Aroma: The nose is clean and malty, light lager malts, grains, and some grassy notes
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a thin white head and spotty lace
Flavor: The flavor is rather clean with a light sweetness, grainy malts, and light grassy bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, clean lager mouthfeel, and an average-to-lively carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really enjoyable lager. Helps to clear up the stereotype of flavorless pale/watery beers that is all to common with this style. The nose is a little thin, but otherwise, I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. One of the best lagers I have tried recently.

Light banana wheat and smooth plain old beer taste. Nothing special but gets the job done. Draft pour at high wire brewery in Asheville

A traditional premium style lager with a nice bready malt base and clean profile with a bit of lemoniness to the hop. Pours a very pretty deep golden with a strong fluffy white head. On tap as a guest at Pig Pounder.

Keg @ Hi Wire. Gold with a small head. Nose is pretty bready. Light sweet honeycomb. Taste is sweet honeyed apple. Toasty soft bitterness on the finish. Medium body, active carbonation.

A mildly hopped lager that doesn't overshadow the traditional lager elements. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Asheville, NC - Bruisin’ Ales - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium golden with a quickly fading white head, rather still, not much bubble action. Aroma has an olive oil accent, some lemon accents. Flavor has a bit of a grainy essence, light nuttiness, some mineral water. Overall, somewhat bland. Mouthfeel is rather dry. Not a highlight of my North Carolina haul.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was of grainy malts and some grassy hops The taste was grainy, with toasted malts, grass and herbal hops. Decent.

Pours a nice amber with a thin eggshell head. Aroma is crisp, malty and a bit fruity, typical but inviting. Flavor is malty with an underpinning of pear and a hint of apple. Texture is average but OK. This could be a good gateway beer to wean people off industrial swill.

Had on tap at Lookout Brewing in Black Mountain. Just meh. Color and taste of straw, predominantly. Pretty high carbonation. Sort of insipid flavor wise- bready, doughy, corn, sweet. Was cold enough that one could call it refreshing- might work in a pinch on a hot summer afternoon.
