Inspired by our head brewer’s cafe con leche-fueled travels in Key West, this is a milk stout with some kick. Local coffee from Dynamite Roasting Co. is cold-extracted and added post fermentation to this sweet, creamy stout.

On tap at source on birthday. Coffee, coffee, coffee. Honestly probably would have scored better if it were labeled a porter. Mouthfeel and body a bit thin for a stout. Pours somewhat thin with a quickly diminishing tan head. Flavor solid with coffee prevalent- chocolate, earth, caramel, raisin playing second fiddle. Cold extraction is key to this one- coffee is obvious (overly so, really- but I love coffee) without being bitter. Tasty.

Draft to taster at Hi-Wire. Looks good; a semi-opaque dark cola with thin light beige lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and roast. Light and smooth on the palate. A good example of the style.

Pours a thick black on tap with thin tan head that leaves light lace. Aroma of nice dark roast coffee and dark chocolate. Taste follows, with a hint of lactose. Nice creamy mouth with light carbonation. Definitely the best beer I had from them.

Dark pour with burnt wood brown edged and one finger of crackling tan head. Very strong coffee in the flavor with some roasted grain and bitter notes. Some earth grain and burnt sugar. Medium thin body from the coffee.

Dark coffee color pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is like brewing a cup of coffee in the morning. A mixture of coffee bean, vanilla, and roastiness. Now for the taste. This beer is a coffee lovers dream. Coffee with creamer and a hint of sugar. Palate is smooth and balanced. If you like coffee and beer, you will love this.

Draft at taproom. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves a little bit of lacing. Massive coffee on the nose. Very nice! The coffee adds a fair amount of bitterness own the tongue as well. I wish the lactose had been amped up a bit because the coffee is definitely winning. Still quite quaffable.
