Draft. Cloudy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus and banana. Taste is candied banana bubblegum.

On Tap. Aroma: Banana, some spice (coriander). Palate: Mid-weight, not too heavy. Flavor: Like the nose. Medium length on the finish. Comments: A balanced style that isn’t overly sweet. Dry finish. Solid.

Bottle. A strong corriander aroma, with cloves. Only a touch of banana. A creamy and sweet palate, with more banana now, along with some tropical fruits. A very pleasing Weizen.

Bottle. Light clove aroma cloudy yellow, lowish head. Flavorwise it hits a Hefeweizen from Oberbayern perfectly: Sweet wheat, vanilla, clove and plenty of bananas. Kind of fitting I should try this in the Japanese alps. If I have to critisize, then the body could be a bit fuller and chewier, but that doesnt detract from the enjoyment,

Bottle 500ml at Sosuke Ryokan, Takayama, Room 8 – shared with Mette. Cloudy yellow – white head. Sweetness, spicy, light banana notes, fruity, coriander, wheaty, spicy, herbal. Nice.

Draught at Popeye, Tokyo. Cloudy golden, minimal head. Fresh aroma ofripe banana. Mid-sweet and fairlylight bodied with very soft mouthfeel. Mild malt but intense esters. Excellent weizen.

on tap at popeyes. hazy golden, lemon and banana peel aroma, some curious coconut milk and salt in there but also some citric zest rounding it out

On tap at Popeye’s. Rich, thick wheat malt flavor. On the sweet side, but has a good bitter finish. Not sour at all. Crisp, but rich, with medium plus carbonation. Very nice, with lots of spice and banana. A top Japanese wheat beer.

Wow! Japan has done it! Poured a hazy yellow body over a massive and long lasting white head. Smelled of vinalla, orange peel, and lemon, some faint clove. Taste was again lemon and vinalla, hint of strawberry at the end. Quite sweet for a weissen but I loved it. Creamy and fizzy on the plaate, clean and very very refreshing. I need more!

Bottle. Cloudy, pale yellow with a thick head. Strong banana aroma with undertones of clove. Banana flavours dominate. Body could have been fuller. Overall a decent weizen.
