COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fruit of the prolific Chokecherry was a favorite of early Montanans. Those in the know still use it for a kitchenful of homemade delicacies. That tradition inspired our winemaker, who has married the familiar flavor of the chokecherry with local honey. The result is an award-winning wine that is perfect by itself or with a favorite dessert.

750, corked and waxed. Thanks, Adam! These are all really solid. Pours a crystal clear rubied garnet. Brightly acidic nose blended with pleasant floral honey notes. Watery medium body. Tartness and sweetness play off each other well.

750 ml. bottle- Pours clear ruby red to orange, nice color. The aroma is bitter, I was expecting sweet cherry like aromas, and it has that once you get past that bitterness, as it sits the bitter tannins subside leaving a nice cherry rancher aroma, it ends up being really nice. The flavor is watery at first, but then about 5 seconds after the swallow a good sweet cherry taste appears, honey is definitely in there too, odd stuff. The cherry flavor is paired with this odd bitterness and dryness, I am thinking I don’t like choke cherries too much. Body is a little thin, but I am fairly new to meads, so this is kind of a guessing game here. I will admit I was hoping for more though.

I just don’t get meads, what beers do you know that are near 20%? From a bottle at Vintage Estates, such a nice place; 6 - 2oz samples of mead for $15, tax included. Sweet candy aroma. Nice brownish red and clear, visually stimulating. Very light body on thhe palate. Not thick nor viscous like many meads. Some pepper that comes across as enjoyable and pleasant. Stronger wine like finish, you knoiw - does not hide the alky well, eh?
