A wild cherry that grows prolifically throughout Montana, the Chokecherry got tis name because it doesn’t sweeten until after a frost. Montanans have used it for years to make their favorite syrup and jelly. This tradition inspired our winemaker to marry this familiar flavor with local honey and to create a true Montana mead and the winner of our first gold medal. Serve slightly chilled.

Bottle. Pours a still deep pink to red. Aroma is sweet white wine and some slight honey sugar. Taste is candy, otter pop cherry and some tropical fruits. Guava, pineapple, not cloyingly sweet. More sweetened wine but has loads of honey minus the mouth feel. Tasted a little overly koolaid to give it a higher ranking.
