Cask at The Market Porter London Bridge 5 Feb 08. Dark golden colored. No head. Caramellish aroma. Sweet fruity flavor. Some bitterness kicking in.

Cask-conditioned at the Berkeley JDW, Bristol 13/2/08. Chestnut coloured with a slight white head. Being a JDW this was served too cold but perked up pretty rapidly. Big malty aroma of caramel, red fruits and earthy hops. Flavour had more malt, some roastiness and a short, yet intense, bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Cask conditioned @ Guide Dog, Soton. Dark malty ale with light roast and dried fruit flavours. Quite drinkable with a little pleasant mustiness towards the finish.

Cask handpull at New Inn, Canterbury. Deep copper colour with bubbly beige head. Caramel, toffee, slightly toasty aroma with rich toffee/hop and ginger finish. Very good dry malt aroma. Malty, chewy, bit of ginger spice. Pretty good this. Some roasted malt.

The Angel, Rainham. A gorgeous roasty ale. Packed full of flavours. Served fresh and in lovely condition. A Winter Warmer or Old Ale - though in the modern lower abv style. Stunning.
