on tap at the brewery. pours light amber with small head. aroma is lacking hoppieness for an ipa, but nice caramel notes. flavor is quite bitter, but again lacking in hop flavor.

Draft at the brewpub. Yellow copper color with white head. Small fruity and citrus hop aroma. A good amount of bitterness and nice fruit undertones. Could have more hops for an IPA but not bad.

I like this IPA only if Ken’s Gangster IPA is not available.. I think the Gangster IPA beats this hands down. The bootleg has a slightly excessive overall bitterness and lacks personality. The Gangster has better flavor and better bitterness balance.

Draft @ Brewpub: Pours a muddy amber, with very thin head. Buttery and medium-hopped. Smells a little like apple and citrus. Sort of an underachieving IPA here, that tastes too close to the ESB.
