drunkysersose (7), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA does not count Jun 29, 2008 In the Hoegarten (sp?) department... I like it... drink a couple pints after hitting some of Ken’s harder juice in the Garden. Styles (1653), Taylor, Michigan, USA Dec 13, 2007 MBG 7-21-06. hazy light golden, minimal head. Decent banana and clove up front. Flavor on par, sort of a lite hefe. Not chewy enough. Thins out a bit in finish. Few tweaks and would be really nice session beer. As is probably a good crossover for newbies. badnewsbeers (961), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Jul 12, 2007 on tap at the brewery...cloudy orange/brown body with small head..pretty dark for this style..aroma of banana and wheat...flavor is basically banana bread (spices and all)...well-done and very drinkable aarossell (151), Grandville, Michigan, USA Jan 15, 2007 at once incredibly delicious and overly flavorful. I do appreciate and enjoy temporarily the STRONG banana flavor, it’s far too "ripe" or sugary and banana-like to enjoy a full glass. did I mention banana? It’s creamy, cloudy, and great. Too much banana, I don’t understand why... Silphium (1981), Lansing, Michigan, USA Oct 4, 2005 On tap at The Hideout. Cloudy orange-brown body, thin off-white head. Aroma of banana, toast, and cloves. Nice full body of banana and cloves, quite bready, with a nice balance between spicy yeast notes and fuller malts. Well-done and one of the better beers at the brewery.
