Exactly what you expect and them some. Excellent taste and aroma. Highly recommended.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 bruwery (35) - Lowell, Michigan, USA - NOV 9, 2011
On tap at the Hideout. It’s generally available on both CO2 and Nitrous. I’ve had it both ways; both are great, but I usually prefer it on CO2 as the harsher carbonation plays well against the sweetness of the hazelnut flavor - which is very noticeable in this beer. I can’t seem to come in here without succumbing to at least one pint, and find it to be remarkably consistent. They really do this one well.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Strykzone (3133) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 17, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. The option was nitro or CO2 and this was CO2. Black with some red. Little head. Such a nice aroma! Cappucchino with hazelnuts. The flavor doesn’t jump out likebthe aroma, but how could it?! Very nice it is much
Ike the nose, though and is tasty as can be. Very good!
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 esjaygee (2599) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 5, 2011
On tap at The Hideout Brewpub. Dark brown with ruby low-lights and a medium tan head. Aroma of hazelnut, coffee and dark malts. Taste of hazelnut, coffee, roasted malt and mild chocolate. Semi bitter on the finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 patrick767 (2843) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 14, 2011
tap at the brewpub last summer - Pours black with a light tan head. It smells of roast malt and hazelnuts. The flavor is really nutty with the roast malt and a hint of chocolate secondary. It’s medium bodied and some roast coffee lingers on the palate.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 strongpieman (805) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - DEC 29, 2010
Very good all around. Deep black, that is smooth with the nitro pour. Rich creamy tan head. The hazelnut is present and just at the right level so as not to be too much in either aroma or taste. Probably a little rich so as you won’t have too many at one sitting, but a great way to finish the night.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 manny57 (162) - Battle Creek, Michigan, USA - DEC 4, 2010
Had on draft at the brewpub. This beer had all the right tools, but it just kind’ve failed to shine. I have to say, it seemed a little watery to me. Almost as though they filled 3/4 of the glass with a real kick-ass hazelnut stout and 1/4 with water. With a little work, they can really get this dialed in and it could be a winner.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 cbfobes (1045) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 2, 2010
On tap at brewpub, pours a very dark color with a thin tan head, the aroma explodes with coffee and sweet malt, the taste has a great hazelnut flavor mixed in with coffee, this was the best brew that we had at The Hideout!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and a light coffee presence. Flavor of hazelnut, sweet roasted malt, and vanilla. A creamy coffee stout that is on the sweet side but overall I enjoyed it.
