GABF ’07. Pours black with an average, rocky, light brown head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (toasted grain, chocolate, coffee), average hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of charcoal. Medium bodied, oily texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

On draft @ Sunset Grill with the Mad_Indian. Pours dark with an average size tan head. Aroma of roast, smoke, peat, and mild traces of hops to the nose. The flavor is smooth, roast, slight chocolate, peat, and some smokiness.

Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at Sunset Grill. Black pour roasty aroma and a mild hop kick. It was just okay for me.

On tap at Bruxellensis. Black body and tan head. Apparently it’s a choc stout. Tarry aroma, some choc. It’s a pretty tarry charcoally stout. Nice intense bits. Too thin in the the mouth though.
