harrisoni (5106), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 18, 2007 On tap at Bruxellensis. Black body and tan head. Apparently it’s a choc stout. Tarry aroma, some choc. It’s a pretty tarry charcoally stout. Nice intense bits. Too thin in the the mouth though. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 10, 2007 Draught @ Bruxellensis. Deep dark color. Roasted malt aroma with coffee. Strong roast flavor with blackcurrant and even a hint of smoke. Long roastbitter aftertaste. A taste bomb. JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 10, 2007 Draught Pitch-black beer with a dense, lacy yellow-brown head. Ink, dark leaves, chocolate and cigarette ash. little hops. More ink in the taste, walnut, some dry, bitter chocolate, and more ashes, jacket potato from the ashes. Quite slick & oily, near chewy. Quite OK, just not very... superior. Mes_and_Sim (4176), London, Greater London, England Sep 17, 2007 A Mes rate:
Draught @ Bruxellensis. Black as hell with a decent tan head. Roasty and malty with a little rubber tyre note. Very slight smokey notes. Long roasty finish. A little thin for the style. Pretty good but rather restrained. bu11zeye (3628), Frisco, Texas, USA Mar 23, 2008 (Draft) Pours a black body with a small beige head. Aroma of roastiness, coffee, perfume, and florals. Flavor of roasted malt, cocoa, dark fruit, and light sourness.
