Commercial Description:
Beer of the Gods is an unusual blend of styles from Old Germany. We’ve taken the pale Pilsner malt used for Cologne’s famed Kölsch style and loads of spicy noble hops used in the best Altbier from nearby Dusseldorf. And we’ve topped it off with a liberal dose of extra aroma hops during a lengthy lagering stage. The result? An American beer that blends the best of two old world classics: a beer as drinkable as the very best Kölsch that satisfies like a supreme Altbier. Think of it as a German-style Farmhouse Ale. Beer of the Gods is, of course, unpasteurized and unfiltered. Alcohol content is 4.9%.

Floral, citrus hops are lightly spicy in the nose. Subdued underlying wheat character. Opaque yellow straw coloured body is topped by a decent white head that recedes to a lasting cover with some lacing. Strong hop bitterness over the lightly sour wheat profile. Light-medium body with moderate carbonation. Bottle sampled with Altair, beerbuzzmontreal, Cathschlag, Glouglouburp, Goldorak, MartinT, muzzlehatch and Yowie.

My Bottom Line:
This Golden Ale’s gregarious haystacks and grassy hops compose a wonderful pastoral.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam skirts the hazy pale yellow.
-Grassy hop bitterness is gripping and lengthy.
-Effervescence is comfortable and increases drinkability.
-Both High and Mighty bottled beers are marvelous session ales!

Bottle.

Easily the best blonde ale ever. Clloudy yellow color. The aroma is sweet and has wheat and some light spice. It smells like a wit. Moderately sweet in the flavor, some salt, a little wheat.

Thank ya kindly, JK! Hazy yellow color with a medium head. Aroma of wheat and grapefruit. As someone else at the tasting said, it tastes a whole lot like iced tea. Wheat and tobacco as well.

Thanks to JK for sharing. A cloudy yellow pour with decent head. Interesting grape fruit aroma with malty hints. Fresh grapefruit, tobacco, and malt in the taste.

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, sour, herbs, white grapes. Flavors of citrusy hops, malt, and florals with a bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a large long-lasting foamy white head. Some decent lacing. Aroma of floral hops, quite spicy and citrusy, along with sweet malt, grass and yeast. Flavour’s also spicy and citrusy with a good amount of floral hops backed by sweet malt and yeast and a mild but long bitter finish. Medium bodied, body’s quite carbonated. I don’t really think this should be in the "Golden Ale" category, more like a Belgian Saison or something, but whatever it is, it’s pretty good stuff.

This is a great beer! It pours a cloudy blond with a nice head. It shows some decent light hop notes on the aroma and then breaks into a complex but yet crisp amount of malt and hop flavors. The beer drinks with a crisp flavor and offers a nice long finish.
