Commercial Description:
Beer of the Gods is an unusual blend of styles from Old Germany. We’ve taken the pale Pilsner malt used for Cologne’s famed Kölsch style and loads of spicy noble hops used in the best Altbier from nearby Dusseldorf. And we’ve topped it off with a liberal dose of extra aroma hops during a lengthy lagering stage. The result? An American beer that blends the best of two old world classics: a beer as drinkable as the very best Kölsch that satisfies like a supreme Altbier. Think of it as a German-style Farmhouse Ale. Beer of the Gods is, of course, unpasteurized and unfiltered. Alcohol content is 4.9%.

Poured into a tasting glass from the tap. The color was a slightly unfiltered gold, with a white head with did not last too long on top. The smell was somewhat fruity hints of lemon, and orange, as well as a grassy hoppieness. The taste was a strong citrus flavor, slightly sweet at first with a hoppy overtone. A bit crisp. This beer is a good american blond. Not a bad beer if you are into a good blond and is also a good beer for the string time or summer. Light on the ABV.

(bottle - 22 oz) Hazy orange color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is dry and earthy with some light spice and fruit notes. Some flowers. Flavor is sweet and very bitter at the start with some mild spice and apricot notes, a dry and grassy middle, and a very bitter and zesty finish.

<i<courtesy of oh6gdx - cloudy blond colour under a firm creamy beige head; dusty with a fruity, hoppy nose (apricot and apple); medium-bodied with a fair bitterness, long bitter and fruity hoppy finish - refreshing and very drinkable

[2038-20090313] 1pt6floz bottle. Floral sweet yeast and mild fruity plastic aroma. Clear, yellow light brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet fruity strawberry flavour with citrus juicy yeast. Light-medium body. Nice, average.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Sharp resin aromas. Sweet biscuit upfront turning peppery in the dry resin finish.

Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Soapy, and some light earthy floral character with a thin citrus body pepper and spicy accents and cereal malts. Its not so good.

First drain pour in a while. Even 3 people couldn’t finish this mess. Taste like dirty moss with some rice sweetness.
