The Golden One is an inspired lemon pilsner. The combination of lemon and coriander makes this ale a crisp, refreshing choice.

12 oz can from Tipsy’s. Pale golden appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of lemons, coriander, citrus zest, grass, herbs, light peppery spice, pilsner malts and light hops. Similar flavor, crisp, zesty and a little husky with light spice and light bitterness. Light bodied with ample carbonation. Pretty refreshing, sessionable and easy to drink.

Interesting. Pale malt and lemony citrus aroma. Light golden color like every other Pilsner. Light and crisp palate with strong carbonation. Citrus and lemon up front with higher than average hops bitterness. Finishes clean and somewhat dry. Has some shandy characteristics.

On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of straw, lemongrass and coriander. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of lemongrass, bread and light coriander with a crisp dry lingering lemongrass finish.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2015 Can. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with a strong note of urinal cake, lighter notes of urine (nope, not being facetious) and DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. It’s a "pilsner ale"...with witbier spices....ummmm....yeah, ok, you’re out of ideas, I get it. Smells very much like walking up to a urinal. Truly horrid.

Tap. A clear yellowish gold with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, doughy yeast, lemon zest, and sweet grain. Flavor is sweet citrus, some yeast and light spice. Light bodied with a dry finish. Lingering lemon.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear yellow pour with white head, aroma brought grass, biscuit, some bready notes, hints of earth in there, slight spice. Taste is a mix of grass, biscuit, bread, hints of earth, grainy notes, slight sweet fruit, finishing fairly bitter, dry.

Tap at Colorado Plus - I’m having a hard time getting past the adjuncts here - lemon and coriander are strong in the nose - flavor is very sweet, with some notes of creamed corn, strong coriander - sweet and lightly spicy finish - I’m trying to enjoy it, but find it overly sweet and adjuncty.
