The Golden One is an inspired lemon pilsner. The combination of lemon and coriander makes this ale a crisp, refreshing choice.

Tap. A clear yellowish gold with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, doughy yeast, lemon zest, and sweet grain. Flavor is sweet citrus, some yeast and light spice. Light bodied with a dry finish. Lingering lemon.

Can. Strong lemony citrus aroma with spicy coriander notes. Pours pale, clear golden colored with a thin white head with ok retention and very little lacing. Starts with strong lemony citrus with a very light body and mouthfeel. Finishes crisp and smooth with a slight amount of coriander spice sneak through the lemon that continues throughout and coats the palate until the end. Not bad, but a little one dimensional.

This is my first ever beer review. I decided to review this beer because it is the first beer I am ever going to pour out. Another reviewer described the aroma and taste of this beer as urine. I can’t describe it any better. It smells acidic and sour, very much like stale urine. The appearance is a darker yellow-gold. It is reminiscent of urine after eating asparagus and not drinking a lot of water. It has a slight haze, and poured into a glass with a bright white head with fairly large bubbles. I cannot get past what I assume is the lemon verbena in the taste profile. It tastes exactly like what I imagine drinking day old, concentrated urine to taste like. Any other flavors are overridden by the soda levels of carbonation. Beyond that, the texture is sticky, without much of a finish. Overall, this is quite possibly the worst beer I have ever had. I am not entirely sure that I am not drinking urine. I would prefer literally any beer I have ever drank over this beer. Even without the overpowering urine flavor, it is unremarkable and unpleasant. The only other beer I can think of that compares to this beer, as far as strange flavors go, is Good Juju from Left Hand. But I think that beer pulls off the strong ginger flavor well, and is drinkable. Unfortunately, I’m about to pour the rest of this beer into the toilet where it belongs. If you want to experience this beer, buy a single can. It’s only redeeming quality is that I bought it in a mix pack.

12 oz can from Tipsy’s. Pale golden appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of lemons, coriander, citrus zest, grass, herbs, light peppery spice, pilsner malts and light hops. Similar flavor, crisp, zesty and a little husky with light spice and light bitterness. Light bodied with ample carbonation. Pretty refreshing, sessionable and easy to drink.

Interesting. Pale malt and lemony citrus aroma. Light golden color like every other Pilsner. Light and crisp palate with strong carbonation. Citrus and lemon up front with higher than average hops bitterness. Finishes clean and somewhat dry. Has some shandy characteristics.

On tap at Colorado Plus poured a clear yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of straw, lemongrass and coriander. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of lemongrass, bread and light coriander with a crisp dry lingering lemongrass finish.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2015 Can. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with a strong note of urinal cake, lighter notes of urine (nope, not being facetious) and DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. It’s a "pilsner ale"...with witbier spices....ummmm....yeah, ok, you’re out of ideas, I get it. Smells very much like walking up to a urinal. Truly horrid.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear yellow pour with white head, aroma brought grass, biscuit, some bready notes, hints of earth in there, slight spice. Taste is a mix of grass, biscuit, bread, hints of earth, grainy notes, slight sweet fruit, finishing fairly bitter, dry.
