COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our porter is medium-bodied with a smooth mouth-feel. The blend of special roasted malts brings flavors of chocolate, toasted bread, and subtle coffee notes.

keg at brewery, 3 june 2014 (part of taster flight). aroma is coffee, licorice, chocolate. coffee dominates. strikes me as ’fizzy’ for a porter. judgement may be clouded by the fact that on the bartender’s recommendation this was the last beer in the flight and the Satisfaction IPA came immediately beforehand.

Pours thick dark brownish black with a huge beautiful creamy beige head and awesome lacing. Aroma brings some creamy coffee and toasty malts. Flavor brings creamy toasty malts followed by coffee ending and settling well on the tongue.

Draft at brewpub. Pours black with a Khaki head. Has some lacing in her glass. It not a lot. Nice cocoa notes on the nose. Nice, rich, luxurious chocolate on the tongue. Finishes a touch dry which is nice. Very nice beer. Perhaps my favorite of the beers I’ve had here so far.

Tap at the brewpub - Amherst. Pours deep brown with a tan cream head. Pots of roast, some ash, dry chocolate, burt grass, charred marshmallow. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately dryto finish with further ashy roast, baking cocoa, slight earthy bitterness. Perhaps a touch thin but well balanced otherwise.

Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Highly carbonated. Head a little creamy. Zero sweetness, almost acrid in its robust coffee grounds acidity. Slight bitterness. Roasty as hell. Sharp. Not fatiguing that’s for sure.

Poured a deep brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted coffee. Mouthfeel was quite thin. Tasted of bittersweet chocolate with coffee, but finished off with the strangest rubbery taste--like tires. I almost didn’t finish it and got another, but in the end I finished off the glass. Definitely would not bother to order it again and would recommend to others to try something else.

TURDFERGUSON (3954) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 6, 2012
Dark brown with a small tan head. Strong roasty nose, some cocoa, coffee notes. Flavor is lightly sweet, roasty, some dark chocolate, coffee. Fairly dry finish. Good stuff.
