Dry and fruity despite the sweet aroma. Starts ok and finishes ok but little in the middle. Not bad but wouldn't have another unless there wasn't anything else on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint at the Three Tuns, Heddon. Orange with a white head. Slight vegetable aroma, bit of farmyard as befits the brewery, but distinctly underwhelming in all departments. OK, drinkable, but let’s move on.

Tasted this at the Troon Beer Festival in October 2009. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear pale copper in colour with a thin white head. Strong overpowering aroma of hydrogen sulphide with rotting seaweed and blocked kitchen sink u bends to the fore. This ale had the worst aroma I have ever had the displeasure to come across - absolutely disgusting. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a weak digestive biscuit note laced with soft toffee. Dry hops give an earthy flavour edge to the short bitter aftertaste. The weak malty finish just about surfaces from the stagnant taint of sulphur and plastic. Had to pour the rest of this down the nearest sink - Putrid stuff. I will rerate this again in the future though, chance it may have been infected.

Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, sour malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sour malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20100805]

50cl bottle, pours a dep gold with a clingy white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, a little biscuit and a smidgin of honey, then a nice dry and fruity full body, with a faintly orange note and a dry-bitter finish.

Cask, gravity, at Bedford Beer Festival ’10. Gold with a white head. Old grass cuttings in the aroma. Oily taste with a little sweetness, a little grass, and a slightly excessive prickle of carbonation. Mid bitter finish. Somehow not entirely satisfactory.
