2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tried last night as an opener before dinner. Light, grainy aroma that I found similar to a helles, and has the cloudy yellow appearance of one as well. The taste, however, turns towards bitter without much sweet malt in evidence. Sessionable to an extent, as the rough texture might get tiring. Strange name for a light-ish beer.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle from Party Source. Surprisingly hazy sort of pale golden color. Minimal white head. Pretty minimal flavor, but it’s very spicy, kind of soapy. Kind of lemony. Like lemon cleaner. Lighter body, softer carbonation. Dry finish. Zesty taste, moderate to bigger bitter. Malts are lost in the mix, and hops are too soapy and spicy to be satisfying. Light tartness. I went into this assuming it was a pale lager based off the label, and was surprised by the haziness and general confusion in the flavor. Looks like RB has it classified as a golden ale, but it’s so different and less smooth, very rough around the edges, quite spicy... And what about this is supposed to be German-style? Odd beer. Maybe and old / bad bottle.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow body with a one finger fizzy white head that left a bit of lacing. The nose is lightly bready with a minimal floral hop note and a touch of fruitiness. The flavor is rather light, a bit of bready pils malt, some light German hops, and some light wheat. Light bodied and watery in texture with fine fizzy carbonation. Pretty nice sessionable Blond. Enough character and hops to keep it interesting.

Bottle shared at JF’s, cheers Jim, 17/08/13.
Hazed golden with a moderate white head that soon clears.
Nose is orange, grass, citrus hotes.
Taste is thin, light citrus fruit, toasted malts.
Light to medium in body, moderate carbonation.
Mediocre stuff, the blandometer is in the amber !

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Easy to drink. Almost too easy. A bit of a citrus note in the nose and a clean finish. Light bready, grainy/earthy notes towards the end following a lightly hopped start. Light-bodied, but full of flavor for those whose palates are not completely abused by over-hopped beers. The reason why this beer is fantastic is because it is extraordinarily well-balanced.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Toronado SD: Poured a glowing vibrant yellow with absolutely no formation of foam on top. Aroma is mild with a scent of high quality grained malt. The flavor is completely different with a heaping serving of hay, barley, wheat, and spicy hops that come right through. Also, notes of tart fruit that has some harsh bitter flavors as well.
