COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
XPA (Extra Pale Ale) is an American classic. A hoppy session ale . . . relatively light and low in alcohol but packed with flavor. Old World English malts are paired with new American hop varieties, resulting in a superbly drinkable yet complex brew, ideal for evenings out at the pub or when entertaining at home. This beer has it all – enough hops to satisfy the most serious hophead, but enough malt to achieve a perfect balance. This American Pale Ale is unfiltered and unpasteurized.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2011 Hazy amber; frothy white head. Juicy oily pungent hop aroma. Flavor - same; bready taste, crisply hopped. Very nice pale ale, for my money, best beer from High & Mighty so far.

A very plain, uniteresting beer. An unpleasant smell, looks like piss water, and tastes like a bud.

A very fine drinking beer. It tastes like the answer to a question that should have been asked a long time ago: What beer is there that has the full-flavored hoppiness and clean non-pelletized hop flavor, without the lingering bitterness? I like this stuff, it is somewhat unique. And I am surprised I haven’t tasted one like it before. The closest thing I can think of is that XX Bitter from Belgium. Both brews are very clean finishing but full-flavored. I also detect a bit of grapefruit and mustiness in the more subtle notes. I like this stuff. This stuff is a knockout with spicy homemade beef jerky. Wow.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a very cloudy golden yellow color with a quickly diminished small amount of alabaster bubbles. Aroma is of nice yeast, light grains, light fruits, grass, and some spice. Taste is of light grains well blended with nice yeast and grassy hops with some light fruits and spice. Light bodied and smooth with low carbonation. Ending is of mild grassy hops with notes of spice.

Aroma of citrus dish liquid. Infection? Hard to say. Off-bitter apricot flavor, yet again with the dishsoap. Lighter orange, hazed with suspension. Light body, easy to drink in spite of a bittering finish. Not so great.

Well, the guy at the beer store said this one,"was kind of a dark beer." I don’t usually trust the beer store guys, but I decided to take his word for it tonight. Well, I was drunk when I bought the beer, so it is no excuse because I should have realized that it was a pale ale...duh!@ Anyway, the beer isn’t bad, it has a malty aroma and reminds me of a "poor man’s Sam Adams." The Pats better win tonight, because the beer is just mediocre.

Solid pour, head lasts awhile. Fruity, musky smell and taste. Goes down nicely wiht various sweet citrus overtones. Feeling apricot and peach the most. Golden hay with shaded sun coloring. A fine sipping microbrew here. Goes well with sharp cheese and tarts but thats your perrogitive. Hay feel in the aftertase brings feelings of open fields of hops and malt. A delicate treat on the pallate.

Light golden in color, not much aroma. Very light flavor, but at least there is flavor. Paper City must’ve made this one for the people who ask "what’s your lightest beer?"

Pours a very light golden color with quite a bit of cloudiness. Has a slight amount of head on it. I find it slightly skunky with a bit of a soapy and long-lasting palate.

Sample. A bit malty with strong hop bitterness. The flavors didn’t seem to have blended as well as they should have. Maybe this was a young batch.
