COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is one of my favorites. It was a blast to brew it and was really an evolving process. One third of the beer was barrel aged in 18 Year old Elijah Craig bourbon barrels, another third was aged in premium Brandy barrels and the final third was aged in stainless. After 4 months of aging the three different variations were combined back together resulting in the blend you have in front of you. Copious amounts of Carafa 1,2 and 3 as well as chocolate malts and Midnight Wheat malts were used. Deep, dark and delicious!!!! Enjoy....Steve

Tasted at the 6th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/12/2011. This Baltic porter pours a dark black color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, wood and bourbon. A medium bodied Baltic Porter. The malts are chocolate, coffee, with some dark fruit. The hops are earthy and herbal. Touch of wood and bourbon. Nice carbonation. The roastyness last throughout the taste. Some fruit at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On draft at the Bistro Barrel fest. Top five of the night IMO. It pours dark with a tan head. The aroma is full with sweet cocoa, caramel and wood. The flavor is nice with vanilla, wood, roasted malt and chocolate. Very nice on the palate with good mouthfeel. Excellent beer.

On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a translucent dark brown nearly black with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of dark chocolate, roastiness, carmel, vanilla and light bourbon. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, roastiness, light vanilla and light bourbon with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

On tap at the Bistro -Bal Aged Fest. Darkest brown in color with a one finger tan head that lasts. Excellent lacing. Nice roasty aroma with coffee and dark chocolate. Light bourbon. Intense flavor - the bourbon and wood come out more - with lots of roast and charcoal with dark chocolate and espresso. Medium-full body with average carbonation and a long finish. Excellent brewski.

Tap at the Bistro BA fest. Pours very dark brown with a beige smear. Aroma of sweet dark malt. Flavor is bourbon/vanilla with some earthy notes. Turns chocolate. Then... its crazy. Complex. Finishes towards sweet.
