COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blind Spot - Dark Specialty Ale: Blind Spot is ideal for the colder months, but perfectly enjoyable any time of the year. Fermented with a traditional English yeast. Wonderfully robust, full-bodied with a rich and warming finish. We have added a light dosing of dried ginger, cardamon, grain of paradise and star anise to the whirpool for some enjoyable spicing.

Poured a thin head on a black colored body. Well, the ginger comes through strong in the smell. The cardamon and the roasted malt are there too. The taste is roasted malt at first and then the spices take off with the rest of the profile. The texture is smooth with a crispiness and moderate carbonation. The does not do it for me. The smell is way off and the taste has to many spices.

(22oz bomber) clearish ruby-brown, creamy tan head, nose of rich caramel, cream, lightly tart berry, mint, smells complex and delicious. Taste of toasty caramel, rich, toasty marshmallows, bit of dark rich chocolate and berry melted together. Medium body, berry linger.

Bottle from Olive Tree Market: Created a tiny thin layer of head while a dark brown liquid was the beer. My nose doesn’t pick up much other than a minor aroma of roasted sugary caramel malts while a touch of yeast is also apparent. The drink is smooth yet boring with only a taste of roasted malts that give off a slight taste of rye and chocolate milk. Does finish with a bitter chocolate taste that’s somewhat astringent and I lose interest in the flavor of the beer. I wouldn’t buy this again.
