COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Logic Imperial IPA is brewed for the true ďhop head.Ē The nose bursts with fresh hop aromas while the palate is balanced with just enough bitterness to linger without overwhelming the more subtle among the hops flavors. The winning equation is ó five quality malts plus five flavorful hops equals one fine beer! Sounds logical to us.

Golden yellow in color... Aroma is fresh citrus and piney hops... Flavor is sweet and malty upfront with caramel notes which gives way to long lasting piney bitterness throughout and on the finish.... Solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pleasant surprise. Not aroma heavy but really fun imperial IPA with off traditional notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Pours amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is a blast of citrusy hops with some floral notes. Taste is nicely balanced sweet maltiness and a sharp hoppy edge. Full body. Very nice brew! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. A yellow orange color with a lush foamy off-white head. A predominately citrus (grapefruit) aroma with a sweet hoppy finish (perhaps a little too sweet and without an aggressive hop profile).

Time to pull out my High Water tulip pint. Pours a medium-light amber color. Itís quite clear, no sediment in the bottle. Medium-large off-white head. Very good lacing and retention. The aroma is a mix of pine and citrus-y tropical fruits, a pineapple on a pine tree. Iím also getting some tangerine, honeysuckle, grapefruit, mango, raspberry, cherry, grass. Thereís some solid caramel and toffee sweetness sitting in the background, though not quite far enough back for my taste in the style. Taste starts out bright but gets a bit of harsh bitterness after a second. Itís not too bitter, just a bit bland once some greener, more herbal hop flavors start chiming in. Still, itís nice and smooth for the most part. Somewhat sweet but the finish dries things out a bit. Medium bitter, herbal finish. Otherwise, itís similar to the aroma, a mix of smooth, fairly rich malt sweetness and citrus/tropical/pine hop flavors. More of the malt flavor comes out. It has a rich, layered feel, like a toned down quality English strong ale. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth for the abv and style. The malt smoothness makes it easy to drink, though despite coming in at 9.5% abv. Little bit of hop oiliness. Interesting beer. If the hop flavor was brighter and juicier, this would be a real winner. As is, it falls short, but I think itís a good sign for High Water.

Bottle. Amber beer with a big cream head. Pine and grapefruit aroma with tropical fruit. Pine and grapefruit flavor with light tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and tropical fruit linger with malt backing.

Amber pour with big creamy white head. Huge fresh hop nose. Notes of pine, citrus, pineapple, bready malts. Well balanced more malty middle to off-set the huge hops. Clean resiny finish with a vague hint of booze. Tasty. A worthy competitor to the likes of Ballast Point Dorado or 90 Minute IPA.

22 oz. bomber. Iíve been looking forward to this one. It pours a nice golden orange color with a good off white head. The aroma interesting and unexpected. Lots of maltiness, but not caramel sweet. More like fresh baked bread and cookies. Thereís definitely a lot of hops in there too (tropical fruit?), but I canít get over the cookie malts. The flavor is pretty much the same. Complex malt profile, slight sweetness with multigrain and cookies supported by piney, spicy and fruity hops. Resin and alcohol are felt in the finish. Not oppressively bitter. Pretty clean and well balanced. If you like a more malty IIPA, then youíll probably love this.

S: Melon, tropical fruits, lemon zest, lots of dank hops and herbs, while some caramel hops are just trying to hang in there. P: A light copper with a frosty white head. T: Caramel malts just blast you at first then comes some dank hops/herbs, some sweet candy more tropical sweetness, vanilla and a hint of pineapple. M: Medium carbonation with light to medium bitterness. O: Not bad, easy to drink but a very malty IPA.

On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Clear golden orange pour with a white head. Starts off with some grapefruit and pineapple aromas, maybe some caramel. But for the most part, it smells like weed and Fruity Pebbles. Tastes like weed and Fruity Pebbles, too. Grass and pine bitterness, grapefruit, pineapple, and some caramel.
