3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 daleharshman (702) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Bomber purchased at Best Damn Beer Shop ($5.49). Pours a cloudy golden-orange hue with two fingers of white foam with very good retention. Appears to be highly carbonated with lots of big bubbles sticking to the side of the glass. Aroma of wet and slightly sour grains, sweet citrus, flowers, and fresh-cut grass. Flavor has a strong initial citrus note (tangerine, orange, some grapefruit), tropical fruit, spicy hops, earthy herbs, and a fair amount of balancing caramel maltiness. Strongly carbonated with a lingering earthy hoppy bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel and body are both on the lighter side considering the relative strength of this beer. Pretty good IPA. (67, 699)
