Draft. Bartender said the beer doesn’t normally look like this and that someone much have knocked the keg. Murky/milky brown beer with reddish tints and no head. Tart aroma. Tart/sour flavor with cherry/pommegranate and light cocoa. Medium bodied. Tart/sour and fruitiness lingers with light cocoa and light vanilla.

On draft at Barclay’s pub in Oakland. It pours a copper color with a light red tint. The aroma has some nice oaky vanilla notes with peach fruit and noticeable leathery funk. The flavor is very fruity with tart peaches, apricot, berries and hints of funky seawater. Little to no acetic, but I would have liked a bit more sour punch in this one. Weak body too. There is some nice graham cracker maltiness near the finish that adds another dimension, but the lackluster finish is kind of a let down. None of that face twitching, body wiggling pucker that you get with the top notch versions of the sour ale style. This has all the components that you want... tartness, fruitiness, oak, funk... it just doesn’t quite seal the deal. Still a really nice refreshing beer.

The pour is an orange color without much in the way of a head. From what I can find on this, it’s supposed to be a pomegranate and cherry beer, but I get peach, peach, and more peach. A light oakiness, a touch of citrus peel, and a nice lactic tarntess. The flavor is slightly sweet with some malt and oak notes, maybe a hint of vanilla. The peach character is very pronounced with a few other fruit notes to it as well.
