Bottle shared at redlight, pours a deep red, very rich to the mouth, alcohol and maple, the barrel aging really overtakes the rest of the beer.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 10/08/2014 Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Thanks to Leighton. Aroma is a lot of hot alcohol and solvent, with booze whisky and some honey sweetness. Caramel / oranges coloured pour with no head. Flavour is composed of caramel and honey malts with booze, vanilla, tangy and some jammy fruits. Palate is sticky sweet, full bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014 London Sunday Tasting. Won this during Free Beer week a few years ago - thanks! Pours clear amber with a bubbly tan head. Rich stewed fruits in the aroma, some caramel, vanilla, toasted wood. Big sweet flavor with notes of golden raisins, toasty bread, alcohol, caramel, light leafy bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation; somewhat chewy. Hot finish, moderately sweet, with some dates, bread and fruitcake. A hearty beer, for sure. The booze is just a bit too forward. Otherwise it’s great stuff.
