COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pom Cherry Bomb is a Belgian inspired specialty ale. Brewed as a golden ale with a blend of fresh pomegranate and Montmorency cherry juice. Fermented with a classic Belgian Abbey yeast. A tart refreshing seasonal ale.

Bomber poured a clear pinkish amber with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of sour cherry, pomegranate, straw and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a lightly tart finish. Flavors of pomegranate, sour cherry and straw with a crisp lightly tart lingering fruity finish.

The aroma is of course fruity with the Pomegranate coming out more than anything else. Honestly it was kind of hard to find any cherry in it. Mixed in their was a nice spiciness from what seemed to be Belgian Yeast and some tartness thrown in there. It’s pretty much the same with the taste. The cherry might come out a little bit more here but the Pomegranate still reigns supreme. I would love to know the amounts used for both fruits. There’s some spices in there but the yeast does more than it does in the smell, a more yeasty taste comes out with a nice tartness. It’s nicely carbonated and it smacks the lips.

22oz bottle. Rating #25. Hazy orangish/red pour with a real pretty light rose head. Light fruity aroma, picking up more apple or grape than pom, but there is some cherry action going on. Light flavor, a hint of tartness and very mild and very drinkable with some sweetness in the finish. (2219)

Taster at DBS. Aroma was Pom, slight funk, and slight spice. Flavor was Pom lambic, Belgian yeast, and was tart like there was brett added. I really enjoyed this one. Very good, very drinkable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huge foamy head! Clean dark yellow/light orange body. Big bubbles in center of glass. Sour-like aroma of tangerines. Pronounced sour flavor. Would be an interesting pairing with a sharp stinky cheese, such as limberger or lederkrantz.

Great Summer beer, pours a very attractive reddish amber with a finger thick light cream head. Full fruit nose with malt as well. A bit of tartness to balance the sweet malt and cherry/pomegranate flavor. Clean dry finish.

Shared a bomber with the wife. Pours a nice light ruby. 1/4" head that did not stick around long enough to say hello. Smells like a light version of RR’s Supplication but not as "freshyness" smelling. A tad off. Cherries and bread. Taste is also a bit off. A little tart. But not really cherryish or pomegranate. Kinda disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber courtesy of thome50. Pours a clean, light pinkish orange, with some amber highlights. Not much of a head on this one either. The nose is slightly yeasty with some subtle cherry and pomegranate fruit notes behind some soft grains. Flavor is way more fruit forward than expected based on the nose. Pomegranates start fast leading towards some yeasty characteristics and tart cherry skin, rounding out to some cherry juice in the finish with a slight acidity that is balanced and not overwhelming. Pretty clean for what it is.

Bottle. Light iced tea color with a small white head. The head fades to a small ring around the neck. Aroma doesn’t have a whole lot of fruit character, but there is a bit of cherry present. Taste is grain filled with grain character. I feel like I’m drinking a 7-grain bread loaf that has been thrown into a juicer. I’m still not getting much fruit here, but once again there is a little bit of cherry juice in the finish. Pretty thin bodied, and really just a bland beer. Maybe it’s because I go, fucking, crazy for pomegranate but I just find this to lack any of that at all. I feel like my rating is incredibly low because this is a beer that one can drink fairly easily, but I was was hoping for much more that just the basic cherry juicy juice and grainy beer presence.
