COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the Spirit of legendary gold rush born on the mighty rivers of our Golden State of California, we off Rio d’Oro, or River of Gold. Brewed with Belgian pilsner and caramel malts, Styrian Golding hops and Belgian yeast from East Flanders, this tresure glitters with aromas of tropical fruits and dry effervescent finish. A shining nugget to add to your cache, Rio d’Oro is truly worth its weight in gold.

Bonito aspecto dorado y compacto. Clara.

Bottled, from Vinoble Dalum. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Malty and fruity aroma with peach and pineapple dominating, spicy hints and a bit of oxidation. Sweetish, tropical fruity flavour with some bready malt notes. Lacks some of the dryness and hops that make good Belgian strong ales so dangerously drinkable

Bottle @CBC Clerkenwell, pours golden white head. Belgium style to a T. Great nose of spices and pepper. Caramel sweetness at the start of the mouthful going on to a lingering bitter finish with the spices coming out after the mouthful has finished.

Bottle:   Golden, a little shade darker and fiery, thin to moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Bright bready aroma, a little fruitiness, slight funk.   Sweet, fruity, and bready up front.   Pretty much like most American brewed Belgian Style Goldens, but this one is nice in that its not overly bready.   Sweet, but not cloying.   A bit more fruity than others.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Clean finish, just as it started, fruity, bready, and sweet without being cloying or sticky.   Good.

Hazy gold beer, tidy off white head. Minerally crisp palate. Semi dry pale malt, with a little spice. Mellow citrus. Crispy finish. Pretty bored of middle of the road Belgian ales.

Smallish offwhite head. Clear amber body with lots of little floaties. Fruity floral marzipan aroma with caramelized sugar notes. Dry-sweet dried fruit and oily funky taste with caramelly papery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy caramelly fruity taste with floral herbal spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, full of flavour. (0.65l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)
